This level focuses on self-awareness, regulation, and embodied presence. To help you understand your inner landscape and build a trustworthy foundation for everything that follows.

Level 2 - Expand

Being with another

This level focuses on resiliency training, conscious communication and introducing you to relational dynamics while building on the foundations established in Level 1.

Level 3 - Embody

Being in the world

This level focuses on becoming, deepening values and self-wisdom, while exploring the practice of holding space for others through presence, rather than performance.

Level 1 - Evolve

This is all about you.

When you aren’t aware of your triggers, stress tolerance, and needs, you become reactive.

You operate from survival rather than intention, relying on coping mechanisms to get through.

This first level is about your relationship with yourself.

In Level 1 you'll learn how to...

  • connect with your intuition

Together, these skills build

real self-trust, personal responsibility, and deep self-awareness.

You won’t just learn the concepts.

What's the Point?

Most of us were never taught how to regulate ourselves or understand our emotions, reactions, or what our body is trying to say. So we operate from what we learned in childhood.

What you have - the burnout, chronic pain, stress, etc. - are all a result of these subconscious patterns.

HUM.en Level 1 was created to shift this.

  • It gives you the tools to understand your inner world, so you can stop feeling at war with yourself.

  • It helps you build safety and trust from the inside out so you can improve all of your relationships.

  • It’s about learning how to calm your mind, understand you body and reconnect with yourself so you can embody who you know yourself to be.

The point isn’t to fix yourself - you aren’t broken.

Who's Vela?

VELA is an Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator and Guide who creates experiences that help people reconnect with themselves. Using somatics, breath, sound and other holistic modalities, she creates experiences that encourage relaxation and deepen presence. Drawing on her diverse training and personal journey, she supports people in shifting their perspective to see new possibilities and embody lasting change.

I've been a coach of all sorts for 20 years - I've spent most of my life,

as Theodore Roosevelt would say, as a "(Woman) In The Arena".

From years of guiding and being guided, I noticed some missing pieces

in trainings, coachings, and my own life skills.

It became my passion to bridge the gap between my mind and my heart

and sharing that became my life's mission.

FAQ

How do I know I'm the right fit?

If you are over the age of 18 and have an open mind, this is for you.

What about Breathwork? I've heard it's not for everyone.

This style of Breathwork is gentle, focusing primarily on the parasympathetic (rest & digest) state.

It's safe for anyone.
If you are pregnant, please include this as a note in your intake so we can set you up for success.

If you have a history of mania, psychosis, severe trauma or health conditions - book a call with Vela before registering.

What if I can't attend live?

You can watch the replay! Recordings and resources will be sent 24 - 48 hours after each live call.

What will I need?

A computer + headphones

A comfortable space to breathe + reflect

Space in your life to integrate (supportive network, time in your schedule for yourself, etc)

A printer if you'd like to print off the worksheets - if not, digital copies will be sent

What if I start and need extra support?

You can book private sessions with Vela for an additional cost

or connect with one of the facilitators she recommends.

There will also be a group chat for accountability and support.

What's the refund policy?

This journey requires your devotion, presence, and participation.
Because you receive access to the course content and community right away,
there are no refunds.
Please register with intention and clarity.

What time will the weekly calls be held?

Weekly calls will take place on Thursdays at 12 pm PST and will run for about 90 minutes.

How do I become a facilitator?

In order to become a certified facilitator in the HUM method, you must complete all 3 levels of the training.

To be meet the International Association of Breath standards for trainings, the commitment is a minimum of 400 hours over the course of two years. Upon completing the HUM training, you will be expected to complete a practicum, mentorship with Vela, additional readings and a written exam.
